2025 Hubert WTP Softener Tank Rehabilitation Project RFP

The Onslow Water and Sewer Authority seeks proposals for the rehabilitation of a softener tank at our Hubert Water Treatment Plant. Proposals will be received at the ONWASA Central Office Complex at 228 Georgetown Road, Jacksonville, NC 28540 until 2:00 PM on August 19, 2025.

The successful proposer shall furnish all permits, materials, equipment, and labor necessary to perform all tasks described in the Scope of Work, including: removing and disposing of existing media; performing a visual inspection of the tank and repairing defective areas (including spot and patch welding) as needed; preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces; pressure testing; replacement of brine inlet valve and electronic actuator; and, installing new gravel and media in a total of two (2) steel tank softener vessels. Work will be performed at ONWASA’s Hubert Water Treatment Plant, 374 Hubert Blvd, Hubert, NC 28539. Work is to begin within seven (7) calendar days from receipt of a Notice to Proceed, and all work on the project shall be completed, with the tank ready for service, within 30 calendar days from that date.

NC Certified HUB Contractors are encouraged to submit proposals for all bid opportunities at ONWASA.
