Huber Parts, Maintenance, and Installation Services

Project Description: Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a sole source procurement to Huber Technology, Inc. (Huber), from the effective date on the approved contract through January 31, 2031, at a total cost of $636,810.00 for continued ongoing and as-needed proprietary Huber brand parts, maintenance and installation of the existing Huber equipment currently in operation to include; two (2) Huber belt screen EscaMax 500x952x3,5, two (2) Huber screening wash press WAP 2 and, two (2) Huber-RotoMat Schneckenpresse Q-Press 800. This procurement is being made in accordance with Section 3-205(2)(e) of the County’s Procurement Policy as maintenance, parts and services of the existing system is being provided by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Huber Technology, Inc., the only reasonably known representative to provide the required proprietary parts and services. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly.
Contractors who believe that they can provide goods and/or services that are substantially and materially the same as those identified in the attached Huber Quote No. 75000215, must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge to the intended award. Challenges to this notice must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project and must be submitted using the “submission” section in EUNA Procurement, formally known as Bonfire, for this particular procurement. After this date, an award will be made. The County will review properly submitted challenges (responses) to determine whether bona fide competition exists.
