Scope of Services
A. General: The work to be done under this contract includes providing all equipment, materials, labor or

service as required to repair the existing Huber Solar Dryer SRT 11 so that operates as intended.

B. This work includes:

1. Furnishing all labor, material, tools, equipment, supplies, services, and other means of

construction necessary to repair the existing Huber Solar Dryer SRT 11. Details are listed below.

a. Replacing the rotating shovel assembly

i. Huber part 51433635 paddle D1100 D355 L11280 Solstice 11

ii. All sprockets, bearings, and chains

b. IGUS energy chain inspection performed by the supplier

c. Overall inspection of plant equipment related to the dryer by Huber factory-trained

technicians

2. Sole responsibility for the adequacy of plant and equipment

3. Maintaining the work area and site in a clean and acceptable manner

4. Maintaining existing facilities in service at all times

5. Protection of finished, unfinished work, and existing facilities

6. Repair and restoration of work or existing facilities damaged during construction

7. Furnishing as necessary proper equipment and machinery to facilitate the work

C. Implied and Normally Required Work

1. It is the intent of these specifications to provide the city with the complete operable solar drying

capabilities. Any part or item of work, which is reasonably implied or normally required to make the

installation satisfactorily and completely operable, is deemed to be included in the work and contract

amount. All miscellaneous appurtenances and other items of work incidental to meeting the intent of

the contract documents are included in the work and the work and contract amount even though

these appurtenances may not be specifically called for in these documents.

D. Quality of Work

1. Regarding the apparent silences of the contract documents as to any detail, or the apparent omission

from them of a detailed description concerning any work to be done and materials to be furnished as

meaning that only the best general practice is to prevail and that only materials and workmanship of

the best quality are to be used. Interpretation of these specifications will be made upon this basis.
