Description

The City of Houston’s Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) is seeking applications from qualified nonprofit organizations and local government entities to lease and operate the Housing Navigation Center for a period of 3 years. The project will be supported by approximately $10,500,000.00 for a 36-month period in funding from CDBG-Disaster Recovery 24 and additional sources, which may include other federal, state, and local funding. The facility is designed to provide temporary semi-private accommodations and services that bridge the gap between outreach and placement in housing or other appropriate housing facilities serving unhoused individuals. The primary outcome for all participants is a transition to housing and to provide sustainable life skills.
