Housing Assistance Administrator Services

Project Description: The Montgomery County Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) Offices of MH/DD/EI and Managed Care Solutions (MCS) in partnership with Office of Housing and Community Development seek a qualified agency (or agencies) to administer housing assistance for persons with significant mental health challenges who are homeless, experiencing housing instability, or stepping out of mental health 24 hour residential facilities. This “housing assistance administrator” (HAA) must be able to serve all geographic areas of Montgomery County. In addition, it is the expectation that the HAA communicate closely with the participant’s “service providers” (mental health and other supportive service agencies) about any housing related problems. Unless otherwise noted, programs already exist at full capacity, and typically use one-bedroom rental units.
