Sealed bids, subject to the conditions contained herein, for improvements to Hopkins Field Airport, Nucla,
Colorado, AIP Project No. 3-08-0044-015/016-2026 will be received by the Hopkins Field Airport, Director
of Aviation, 2100 Airport Road, Montrose, Colorado 81401, until 2:00 pm local time, May 20, 2026, and
then publicly opened and read aloud.
The work involved will include the following:
Schedule I
Taxiway C Reconstruction
Schedule II & III
Apron Rehabilitation
Major work items include pavement removal, earthwork, aggregate base, asphalt paving and pavement
markings.

on April 29, 2026. To request complete digital project bidding documents and to be added to the plan
holders list to receive addenda and other correspondence should contact Aeris Engineering,
bids@aeriseng.com.
Pre-Bid Conference: The optional pre-bid conference for this project will be held virtually at 2:00 pm local
time, May 6, 2026. Contact Aeris Engineering, bids@aeriseng.com, to receive an invitation to the Microsoft
Teams Pre-Bid Conference.
Bid Conditions: The bidder is required to provide all information as required within the Contract
Documents. The bidder is required to bid on all items of every schedule or as otherwise detailed in the
Instructions to Bidders. Bids may be held by Montrose County for a period not to exceed one hundred
twenty (120) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of
contract.
The right is reserved, as Montrose County may require, to reject, any and all bids and to waive any
informality in the bids received.
All questions regarding the bid are to be directed to Aeris Engineering, bids@aeriseng.com. All questions
must be in writing and submitted by 5:00 pm local time, May 8, 2026.
Bid Bond: Guarantee will be required with each bid as a certified check on a solvent bank or a bid bond
in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid, made payable to Montrose County.
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Requirement: The requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 including any
amendments thereto apply to this contract. It is the policy of Montrose County to practice nondiscrimination
based on race, color, sex, or national origin in the award or performance of this contract. The Owner
encourages participation by all firms qualifying under this solicitation regardless of business size or
ownership. The county has a DBE participation goal of 0% of the dollar value of this contract.
Davis-Bacon Requirements: The Contractor is required to comply with wage and labor provisions and to
pay minimum wages in accordance with the current schedule of wage rates established by the United
States Department of Labor.
