Honeywell EBI Software Maintenance and Support Services

The Minnesota Department of Human Services (Agency) intends to renew an agreement with Honeywell International, Inc. through its Honeywell Building Solutions business unit (Honeywell), for upgrades to hardware and software for uninterrupted use of Honeywell Enterprise Building Integrator (Honeywell EBI).

The Agency uses Honeywell EBI to monitor and control HVAC, automation, access control, security, fire alarms, and lighting. Honeywell retains exclusive ownership, copyrights, trademark of the proprietary EBI software, software maintenance, support, and training.

The Agency determined that the upgrades are the only commercially reasonably available commodity product or service that meets the Agency’s business needs. This is deemed a single source purchase because the upgrade is solely provided and supported by Honeywell and is not available from other third parties.
