2025 HOMEDALE ROAD: OR140 TO BRETT WAY
The Klamath County Board of Commissioners invite written sealed bids for work attendant to the 2025 HOMEDALE ROAD: OR140 TO BRETT WAY PROJECT for the Department of Public Works. The work generally consists of constructing a 10-foot-wide multi-use path along the west side of south Homedale Road for approximately 1,300 feet from the South Side Bypass (OR140) to Brett Way, with ±883 feet of shoulder widening on the east side, and ±862 feet on the west side of Homedale Road. The engineers estimate for this project is $320,000-$355,000.

A surety bond issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Oregon, irrevocable letter of credit issued by an insured institution as defined in ORS 706.008, cashier’s check or certified check made payable to the Klamath County Commissioners in the amount of 10% of the total bid must accompany the sealed bid.
Written sealed bids in envelopes marked “2025 HOMEDALE ROAD: OR140 TO BRETT WAY” shall be delivered or mailed to Sandy Cox, Public Works Manager, Klamath County Public Works Department, 305 Main St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601. No bid will be considered if received later than 10:00 A.M., 4/15/2025. The bids will be opened and read aloud immediately thereafter in the Public Works Conference Room #232, 305 Main St., Klamath Falls, Oregon. Bids submitted by facsimile transmission will not be accepted. Plans will be available 3/18/2025. A mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held by Public Works on 4/1/25 at 10:00 A.M. in the Public Works Conference Room #232, 305 Main St., Klamath Falls, Oregon. This meeting will also be available via Zoom to bidders on the plan holders list.
At least ten (10) days prior to bid opening, all bidders must submit to Klamath County a Contractor’s Prequalification Application, even if the contractor is already prequalified with the State of Oregon. The classes of work for this project are: EART, ACP, AB . (Most recent edition of Contractor’s Prequalification Application form must be used). General Contractor is not required to be prequalified for Temporary Traffic Control if the subcontractor performing that portion of the Work is prequalified as such with Klamath County Public Works.
All contractors and subcontractors performing work on this project must be licensed with the Construction Contractors Board in accordance with ORS Chapter 701. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of the bid will be required of the successful bidder.
Klamath County will reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may for good cause, reject any or all bids upon a finding of Klamath County it is in the public interest to do so. Klamath County reserves the right to waive informalities. All bids are subject to Oregon Law bid procedures. Upon notice of “intent to award”, a (7) seven-day protest period is available for bidders to submit a written protest of such intent to award by Klamath County.
The bidder must indicate on his bid whether bidder is a resident bidder as defined in ORS 279A.120. Bidder must comply with Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance requirements. This is a public works project, subject to BOLI wages and ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870.
