HOME Residential Appraiser for City of Hudson HOME Grant
Description:

The purpose of this notice is to solicit proposals from qualified, knowledgeable professionals to deliver residential appraisals for individual owner-occupied homes to be assisted with Housing Trust Fund Corporation HOME and other grant funds in the City of Hudson service area.

The residential appraiser will determine the monetary value of owner-occupied homes. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Perform detailed inspections on property to determine value, factoring dates, quality, and age of property
  2. Produce written appraisals and detail reports as an independent estimate of value
  3. Assess the value of the home after rehabilitation to ensure that the appraisal does not exceed the tax assessed value plus the rehabilitation hard costs
  4. Ensure the homes assisted comply with appraised value limits, not to exceed 95% of the median purchase price for the service area
