HOGE·BARRETT WELLFIELD IMPROVEMENTS
NEW WATER SUPPLY WELL CONSTRUCTION
Bids will be received by the City of Sidney electronically through Bid Express until 2:30 p.m. (EST) on
Thursday, March 13,2025, at which time they will be electronically opened and reviewed.
Plans, Specifications, and bid forms will be available through the Bid Express website at
www.bidexpress.com. All electronic bidders must register with Bid Express in order to submit a bid
(please allow time for processing) . Registration with Bid Express is free. Contractors and/or
Subcontractors can view and download information free of charge. In order to submit an electronic bid,
the bidder will need to pay a per bid fee or a monthly subscription fee for unlimited bids. We encourage
bidders to familiarize themselves with the Bid Express service in advance.
If the bidder experiences difficulties with the electronic bidding service, please contact the Bid Express
support team (1-888-352-2439, M-F 7am-8pm EST or support@bidexpress.com) at least 72 hours prior
to the bid opening.
The project involves the abandonment of three existing wells (pump bases, motors, column pipe/drop
pipe, related components), the modification of three existing 16" well casings to install two new
submersible pumps and pitless adapters and one new vertical turbine pump, new 8" and 10" ductile iron
piping, associated electrical and instrumentation improvements, new elevated steel service platforms,
drain back vaults, and air release valve vault, grading, and restoration.
Any and all questions regarding the referenced project must be submitted through the Bid Express
website no later than 1:00 p.m. (EST) on Monday, March 10, 2025. Questions submitted outside of Bid
Express will not be answered.
The Contractor shall be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the
Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio for Heavy Highway Construction.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The
City of Sidney reserves the right to waive any irregularities, to reject any or all bids, and to award the
contract to the bid er deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Sidney.
