Description:

The City of San Leandro desires to solicit qualified proposals for an Age-Friendly Assessment and Action Plan to make the City of San Leandro an Age-Friendly city in accordance with this Request for Proposals (RFP). Award resulting from this RFP will be a fixed price contract with an initial term of 9/01/23, through 6/30/24.

The City of San Leandro is requesting submissions of Proposals from qualified Proponents. San Leandro has identified the benefits of an Age-Friendly Assessment and Action Plan. The Age- Friendly initiative aligns with the City Council’s goal to “support and implement programs, activities and strengthen communication that enhances the quality of life and wellness, celebrates the arts and the diversity and promotes civic pride”. The goal of this project is to identify projects, create a working action plan, identify funding allocations from the assessment and establish policies. Age-Friendly initiatives are highly valued, even more so in a post-pandemic world. The urgency behind this initiative has been magnified by the onsets of COVID-19, which has disproportionally impacted elders, people with disabilities and communities of color. The City of San Leandro is seeking a proponent to lead the assessment and creation of an Age- Friendly action plan, with a strong focus on community engagement that is sustainable for all as we go through different ages and stages of life.
