2026 Highway Supplies, Materials, & Services

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for materials or services will be received by the Board of County Commissioners of Brookings County, South Dakota, 520 3rd St. Suite 210, room 221 until 2:30 P.M. on Tuesday the 27th Day of January 2026, for the purchase of the following:

- Mailed bids shall be addressed to the Finance Office located at 520 3rd Street, Suite 100, Brookings, South Dakota 57006.

- Hand delivered bids shall be delivered to the County Commission Office located at 520 3rd Street, Suite 210, Brookings, South Dakota 57006.

2. #250 Crushed Quartzite Rip Rap “Class A”
3. #150 Erosion Stone Crushed Quartzite
4. 1”x #4 crushed quartzite “Class A”
5. Crushed quartzite ballast #4
6. HR Class Asphalt
7. Aggregate for Asphalt Surface Treatment, SDDOT Type 1 A&B and Type 3
8. Asphalt Patching
9. Road Oil
10. Equipment rental/labor
11. PVC Lining
12. Aggregate Base Stabilizer

• Such bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Brookings City & County Government Center 520 3rd St. Suite 210, Room 221, Brookings, South Dakota, at the time specified on the Call for Bids.
• By virtue of statutory authority preference will be given to materials and supplies found or produced within the State of South Dakota.
• The County Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or to accept any bids which it deems to be in the best interest of the county.
• The successful bidder will be required to sign a contract with Brookings County for annual supplies.
