ASBESTOS ABATEMENT
Howell Public Schools
Howell Public Schools is accepting sealed bids for Asbestos Abatement services at Highlander Way Middle
School in preparation for summer renovations.
A mandatory pre-bid walkthrough is scheduled for June 8, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Highlander Way Middle
School, 511 N. Highlander Way, Howell, Michigan 48843. Meeting will start in the Main Office.
Specifications and proposal forms can be obtained at this walkthrough and may be obtained after June 8, 2026,
from Nova Environmental, Inc., 5300 Plymouth Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48105. Any questions regarding this bid
package should be directed to Carol May, Nova Environmental, Inc. at (734) 478-4696.
Your proposal marked "Asbestos Abatement" should be delivered during regular business hours at
the HOWELL PUBLIC SCHOOLS, ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE CENTER, 411 N
HIGHLANDER WAY, HOWELL, MI 48843. Sealed bid proposals must be HAND
DELIVERED OR DELIVERED BY COURIER NO LATER THAN 2:00 PM JUNE 15, 2026.
BID PROPOSALS RECEIVED AFTER THIS TIME WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED OR
ACCEPTED. IF MAILING YOUR PROPOSAL VIA THE POST OFFICE, SEND TO THE
SAME ADDRESS. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BIDDER TO MAKE SURE THE
BID IS DELIVERED PRIOR TO THE BID DEADLINE. Oral, telephone, fax, or electronic mail
bids are invalid and will not receive consideration.
All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter at the Howell Public Schools, School
District Building, located at 411 N. Highlander Way, Howell, MI 48843.
No bids may be withdrawn for at least 60 days after the bids are opened. All bids must be submitted on the
forms provided in the bid packet.
All bidders must provide familial disclosure in compliance with MCL 380.1267 and attach this information
to the bid proposal. All bidders must disclose any relationship with any Iranian Company in compliance with
Act No. 517 and attach this information to the bid. Howell Public Schools will not accept a bid proposal that
does not include these sworn and notarized disclosure statements.
Proposals must include a bid bond or certified check made payable to Howell Public Schools for not less than
5% of the contract and must be submitted on the bid proposal form furnished with the specifications. All
proposals will remain firm for a period of 60 days and provide performance/labor and material bonds upon
award.
Howell Public Schools reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part, to award
contract to other than the low bidder; to waive any irregularities and/or informalities; and in general to make
awards in any manner deemed to be in the best interests of the owner.
