Description:

The City of Attleboro is seeking proposals from businesses, community housing development organizations, and agencies, public or private, with experience in constructing, owning, and managing affordable senior community housing, to construct, develop, manage and operate affordable senior rental housing units in conformance with the City’s affordable housing goals. The property consists of approximately 5.496-acre tract, identified on Assessor’s Plat #115, Lot 1B and located at 104 Mechanic Street, Attleboro MA, 02703.

The City intends to enter into a Land Development Agreement and a Ground Lease Agreement with the selected developer to develop and lease the property, with affordability restrictions, where 100% of the units shall be affordable in perpetuity to households having an income of no more than 80% of AMI, with a preference for units targeted to households with a range of incomes between 50% and 80% AMI

Technical Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope and delivered Attleboro City Hall, Attn: Carol Brown, Purchasing Office at Attleboro City Hall, 77 Park Street, Attleboro, MA 02703 no later than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025. Proposers must submit one original, seven copies & one thumb-drive in a sealed envelope(s) clearly labeled “RFP Highland Property 104 Mechanic Street, Attleboro MA”.

Award of the contract will be to the most advantageous proposal from a responsive & responsible proposer, taking into consideration price & all other evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation.

The selected Proposer must execute a Purchase & Sale Agreement with the City of Attleboro as set forth in the solicitation.
