QUESTIONS & ANSWERS No. 1
Issued: December 09, 2025
Highland Oaks Park
(Support Services)
TO ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS:
The following question(s) were submitted by potential bidders with answers listed below in red:
Q-1. Is there a plan holder list available for this project?
A-1. No. Shelby County does not maintain or release a plan holder list; however, the
sign-in sheet for the mandatory pre-bid meeting will be posted.
Q-2. Would it be acceptable to bid a single playground structure that accommodates both 2-5
and 5-12 years of age?
A-2. No. Two separate playgrounds are required.
Q-3. Does the County know if the existing playground structure meets code?
A-3. No. An assessment of the existing structure against current codes has not been
conducted.
Q-4. Does the County require new tabletops and cooking grills at all the existing park pavilions?
A-4. The County has requested unit pricing for these alternatives, as the total number
to be replaced has not been determined.
Q-5. Looking through the bid documents for this job, I see that there is a mandatory pre-bid
meeting that we missed. Would it be acceptable for our local sales representative to make a
separate site visit?
A-5. No. While prospective vendors may make additional site visits at their
convenience, failure to participate in the mandatory pre-bid meeting will result in the
rejection of your bid, i.e. considered as ‘non-responsive’.
