High School Equivalency (HSE) software

As part of the State University of New York, system administration, the Advanced

Technology Training And Information Networking (ATTAIN) project serve close to

10,000 New York State residents using technology-based computer labs located

statewide in the SUNY Educational Opportunity Centers (EOCs) and

community-based organizations (CBOs). The ATTAIN program was established in

2001 with the mission to promote digital parity in New York's economically

challenged communities. Through this initiative, these statewide technology labs

(each with an average of 24 computer stations and video conferencing capabilities)

are placed in communities where residents can have access to technology,

state-of-the-art hardware, and interactive multimedia software comprising

occupational, academic, and self-development courses.

ATTAIN’s mission is to provide workforce development training through self-paced

Academic, CTE, English and Language Learning and IT online courseware. On the

Academic side, ATTAIN’s goal is to set up to date comprehensive courseware

package that satisfies ATTAIN participant's High School Equivalency (HSE). The HSE

package for ATTAIN must align with the GED exam.

This software package must be interactive, have media-rich content, and have an

assessment component with applicable dashboards and reporting formats. The

dashboards should provide real-time metrics on overall software usage, individual

usage, participant progress, and any required metrics as per the customer's request.

The package must also provide standard and customizable reports on usage and

individual lab performance.

In addition to being current, this software package has to be flexible enough to be

user friendly in all of our EOC/CBO labs and online (remote). For our EOC-based

labs, the courseware should be compatible with existing curriculum. For our CBOs,

the courseware should be engaging, encouraging participants to continue using the

courseware because of the labs self-paced orientation. The new software should be

online (cloud based), and compatible with the current Microsoft Windows

Environments. We are interested in either user licenses, site licenses, or concurrent

licenses. The software package proposal must include the regular update of all

software content.

SUNY intends to make an award under our discretionary authority, pursuant to

State Finance Law 163.6 and NYS Education Law §355(5)(a), for the above noted

commodity/product or service. A sealed bid will not be held. This procurement

opportunity is limited to New York State small businesses, businesses certified

pursuant to Article 15-A of the New York State Executive Law and, if applicable,

businesses selling commodities or technology that are recycled or remanufactured.
