Herbicide Treatment of Invasive Species at Four Mile Creek
Description:

A contractor will be hired to apply herbicide via foliar spray to Flowering Rush (Butomus umbellatus) and Common Reed (Phragmites australis). Flowering Rush stems will not be cut; however, a contractor shall cut stems of Common Reed at least 2 weeks post foliar treatment and stems will be left on-site. The herbicides selected will be reviewed and approved by
the Owner/Project Manager prior to use. Applicator(s) must be certified by NYSDEC as a Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator (CCPA). A Certified Commercial Pesticide Technician (CCPT) may apply the herbicide if a CCPA is supervising work on site. Applicators must have both a 5A – Aquatic Vegetation Control and a 3A - Ornamentals, Shade
Trees & Turf for this project.
