The USFS has a requirement for the analysis of updated data on Flight Hour rates for current USFS helicopter contracts for establishing updated rates for Flight Hour by make and model aircraft. The requirement will also include the establishment of updated Fuel Service Vehicle Rates for vehicles used in support of helicopter fire suppression activities. The vendor will need to analyze current market conditions (operators, etc.) for the operations and maintenance of helicopters working in wildland firefighting for the US Government. Any analysis will need to account for the strenuous nature of operations for all Types of helicopters under USFS contracts (list can be provided) and an explanation of the methodology used to determine the rates for various aircraft, engine types and missions. If you believe you have the capability and interest in conducting an analysis of helicopter flight rates in their wildland firefighting role please provide a brief statement outlining your interest, experience and capabilities to provide this service.
