Hearing Examiners for the Agency's 119 Administrative Hearings

OVERVIEW.

The Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) is soliciting qualifications from attorneys admitted to the practice of law in Ohio (as required by ORC Section 119.09), for the purpose of selecting multiple qualified individuals to serve as Administrative Hearing Examiners.  Selection will be based on applicant’s qualifications.  The rate of compensation for the selected attorneys’ billable hours will be $90.00 per hour, not to exceed forty-nine thousand dollars ($49,000.00) per fiscal year. ODPS may request hearing examiner services in its sole discretion.  Hearing Examiners are not guaranteed a minimum number of hours, nor is ODPS required to request the services of any of its contracted hearing examiners.

SIMPLE SOLICITATION / RFI

The State of Ohio is soliciting a contract opportunity for Hearing Examiners.  Offerors must review attached draft contract containing all requirements, specifications, terms and conditions.  Each Offeror must submit a letter of interest. Offeror must title the electronic file with “ SRC0000022145 - RFI - Hearing Examiners for the Agency's 119 ADM" .  “Letter of Interest”,  should demonstrate a clear understanding of this request and satisfy contract Requirements, Qualifications & Legal Expertise.
