The City of Marlborough (“City”), the Awarding Authority, invites electronic sealed bids from contractors for the Headstone and Monument Restoration at Maplewood Cemetery-Phase 2, Contract No. OP 2026-01 for the Department of Public Works-Operations Division in accordance with the documents prepared by the City of Marlborough. The project consists of restoring headstones and monuments to preserve their integrity, readability, and structural stability while maintaining historical accuracy and respecting the significance of the site within the Maplewood Cemetery, including all labor, material and equipment necessary to complete the Work.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The City of Marlborough ("City"), the Awarding Authority, invites electronic sealed bids from
contractors for the Headstone and Monument Restoration at Maplewood Cemetery-Phase 2,
Contract No. OP 2026-01 for the Department of Public Works-Operations Division in accordance with
the documents prepared by the City of Marlborough. The project consists of restoring headstones and
monuments to preserve their integrity, readability, and structural stability while maintaining historical
accuracy and respecting the significance of the site within the Maplewood Cemetery, including all labor,
material and equipment necessary to complete the Work. The estimated project cost is approximately
$66,000.00. Bids are subject to M.G.L., c. 30, 39M, and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L
c.149, 26 through 27H inclusive. The Bid Package may be obtained as of 9:00 AM on July 15, 2026
via www.Projectdoc.com using Project Code 260997. Questions concerning the bid documents must be
submitting in writing via email to Attn: Mark Dascoli at mdascoli@marlborough-ma.gov no later than 3
business days prior to the scheduled bid opening. All questions and answers shall be distributed as an
addendum to all on record as having received the bid documents. A formal Pre-Bid Conference and Site
Visit will not be held however bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the site "Maplewood Cemetery"
prior to placing their bid. Electronic Sealed Bids will be received until 9:00 AM on July 30, 2026
through online submission at www.Projectdoc.com. Hard copies of bids will not be accepted.

be at least five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount, considering all alternates
In accordance with the provisions of applicable statutes, laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances, the City
of Marlborough does not discriminate in employment, or the provision of services and all qualified
contractors will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, religious creed, gender, handicap,
sexual orientation, veteran's status or national origin.
Selection of the contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including evidence of past
performance in similar projects, and bid price.
The City reserves the right to cancel this procurement process or reject in whole or in part any and all
bids, if the City determines that cancellation or rejection serves the best interests of the public to do so.
This legal notice shall also be posted by the MetroWest Daily News on the Massachusetts Newspaper
Publishers Association's (MNPA) website (masspublicnotices.org).
