Hazardous Waste Management Services & Emergency Response

The Environmental Services Division (ESD) is seeking proposals for hazardous waste management services and emergency response. The City routinely generates hazardous waste at the Operations Service Center (OSC) and occasional satellite facilities and has a waste management program to ensure that all wastes generated by City activities are managed and disposed of properly and lawfully. By request, the City seeks as-needed consultation on hazardous waste management practices and associated regulations to assist the City in regulatory compliance. Furthermore, the City also requires periodic assistance to perform nonemergency projects such as closure, decontamination, and disposal of hazardous waste storage/containment structures and homeless encampments around sensitive waterways. Lastly, 24-hour emergency response is needed in the event of a hazardous materials incident that requires services beyond those that the City can provide internally.
