Hauling and Disposing - Single Stream Recycling Materials

ADVERTISEMENT FOR PROPOSALS

The Selectmen for the Town of New Canaan, Connecticut, will receive sealed proposals for Hauling and

Disposing of the following materials generated at the Town of New Canaan Transfer Station which is

located at 139 Lakeview Ave, New Canaan, CT until 10:30 a.m. Local Time on Thursday May 26, 2026, at

the Department of Public Works Office, located at 77 Main Street, New Canaan, CT 06840, at which time

and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Contract documents will be available from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the Public Works Office.

Materials:

1. Single Stream Recycling Materials

Proposals may not be withdrawn within 90 days after the actual date of the opening.

The Owner may waive any informalities or minor defects, or reject any or all proposals if it is in the best

interest of the Town of New Canaan to do so.

The Town reserves the right to negotiate with any proposer that the Town believes has submitted the

most favorable overall proposal, considering all factors such as terms and conditions, experience,

qualifications, and price.

All proposers are requested to note that the award of this Contract is subject to the following conditions

and contingencies:

The approval of such governmental agencies as may be required by law.

The appropriation of adequate funds by the proper agencies.
