Description

1. The existing fieldhouse located on Fifth Street, Hartwell, GA, will need a complete demolition before we can begin construction on the new one. The new building will be a two-story structure with 17,040 square feet. One of the first things that needs to be done is moving the existing scoreboard out from in front of our new fieldhouse. We will need to take down a couple of trees, remove the old scoreboard, then put a new scoreboard over in the corner so everyone can still see it. The fieldhouse will be equipped with a JV / Varsity locker room, 12 individual showers with curtains, training room with a Family restroom, ice machines, storage cabinets, AED box, field storage room, a nice equipment storage room with a roll-up door and hide-away storage bins, a new weightroom, outdoor turf area for OL / DL agilities, hydration station, a banquet hall, team meeting room, a canteen (for catered meals), service elevator, coaches offices, team meeting rooms, and a Health / PE classroom. The new facility will replace the old Bobby Pate Fieldhouse at the same location on Fifth Street, Hartwell, GA 30643. Exterior will be a brick finish.

2.        Replacing the field turf at Herndon Stadium is needed during this project. The warranty has expired and it¿s getting more difficult with each passing season to keep it up. The turf threads are getting brittle and starting to break down. In order not to interrupt football or soccer season, this project needs to be completed between December 1, 2026, and February 1, 2027. We also need to install power to each sideline, a water spigot on both sidelines, and a kicking net on the back of the east endzone in front of the new Bobby Pate Fieldhouse.

3.        The installation of a new flat panel all LED scoreboard will need to be erected. We currently have a scoreboard and jumbotron, but it is time to upgrade our system. The installation of this scoreboard needs to take place between December 1, 2026 and February 1, 2027 in time for soccer season.
