Description

Project Summary: The City of Houston (“City”) is seeking proposals from contractors who agree to provide Emergency Response Services to older homebound individuals with an automatic monitoring system that links to emergency medical services when the individual’s life or safety is in jeopardy. Emergency Response Services include the installation of the individual monitoring unit, key lockbox, training associated with the use of the system, periodic checking to ensure that the unit is functioning correctly, equipment maintenance calls, response to an emergency call by a medical professional, para-professional or volunteer, and follow-up with the older individual. The City intends to issue one or more contracts for emergency response services through this RFP.
