Harbor Lock Road to Barnes Avenue Canalway Trail Rehabilitation – Utica
Description:

The New York State Canal Corporation (“Canals” or “NYSCC”), a subsidiary of the New York Power Authority (hereafter, "NYPA" and/or "the Authority”) invites qualified bidders to submit a proposal to rehabilitate approximately 1.5 miles of existing asphalt trail in Utica. Trail work will include asphalt milling, full depth reconstruction, wood rail fence installation, topsoil and turf establishment, The project will also include rip rap canal embankment protection and an improved pedestrian crossing at the Harbor Lock gate.

The following is a general description of the work to be done .

Contractor a general description of the work involved in this Contract and is not a complete listing of all work to be done.
All work shall be done in accordance with the Contract Documents even though not specifically mentioned in this list.

Canalway Trail Rehabilitation, Canal Embankment Repairs and Harbor Lock Gate Crossing Improvements between Utica Harbor Lock Road and Barnes Avenue in Utica and Whitestown:

  • Install temporary erosion and sediment control devices and protective barrier fence prior to disturbing any areas.
  • Install work zone traffic control features.
  • Clear trees as indicated in plans and as necessary. Remove downed trees and stumps.
  • Excavate as necessary and install rip rap embankment protection.
  • Mill/ Excavate and grade existing trail as necessary and construct new asphalt surface.
  • Install Harbor Lock Gate Crossing improvements.
  • Install new wood rail fencing as needed.
  • Remove temporary erosion and sediment control devices and protective barrier fence upon completion of the permanent stabilization of all disturbed areas.

(WWW.NYPA.GOV) TO REGISTER AS A VENDOR OBTAIN COMPLETE BIDDOCUMENTS, BID ADDENDA, POST BID-ADDENDA AND RELATED NOTICES WITHIN THE NYPA ARIBA NETWORK. BIDDERS OBTAINING BID DOCUMENTS FROM SOURCES OTHER THANTHE AUTHORITY'S WEB SITE AT WWW.NYPA.GOV DO SO AT THEIR OWNRISK. INCOMPLETE PROPOSAL RESPONSES MAY BE REJECTED.
