HANGAR ROOF RESURFACING/COATING

The County is seeking proposals from qualified Vendors for HANGAR ROOF RESURFACING/COATING , in accordance with the terms and conditions and specifications set forth in this solicitation. This work may include the replacement of the Vertical Translucent Sky Lights wall panels on the hangar.

1. Current Roof Conditions :
   1. The upper roofs are an exposed fastener panel installed over steel purlins.
      1. 14+ years ago a coating system had been applied over the panels.
      2. Over time this coating has cracked open in places and has been repaired.
      3. This coating seems to have trapped moisture leading to rust, particularly at the fasteners.
2. The panels themselves appear to be in good condition.
   1. Areas of the coating have peeled back
   2. There is some evidence of surface rust, but nothing to indicate the panels have been substantially weakened.
3. The lower roof is a heavier panel, installed using a concealed clip, and is designed for low slope applications.
   1. The coating is in poor condition.
