HAMILTON LIBRARY PHASE III- REMOVE AND REPLACE THE DRIVE FOR THE VFD

Project Description: Provide all labor necessary to replace the chill water pump VFD as indicated in the
plans and specifications. The proposed work shall generally include removal, disposal
and replace the pump VFD. Start-up the pump/ VFD per manufacturer’s recommendations
and perform system checks to confirm proper operations. Submit all data collected to
the university of Hawaii facilities management office, attention: Carl Oshiro prior
to request for final inspection. All work located at Hamilton Library Phase III, UHM.

Special Instructions

ALL bidders are requested to attend a mandatory site walk-through. A site walk through is
scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on Friday February 27, 2026. Contractors shall meet at the
Physical Plant Mechanical Engineer Office located at 2002 East- West Road. Contract
documents will be distributed at the mandatory walk through. Contractors interested in
bidding this work must contact Carl Oshiro through email ( coshiro6@hawaii.edu), facsimile
(956-5979) or phone (956-0479) to confirm attendance by 4:00 p.m. Thursday February 26,
2026. Contractors who DO NOT attend a mandatory site walk-through will not be allowed to
bid on this work. Contractor is required to provide a cost breakdown at time of bid. The
breakdown must equal to the total cost of the bid. If correct breakdown is not provided at
time of bid, the bid may be disqualified.
