H534901-Rehabilitation of Bridge No. AA-3001 - Magothy Bridge Road Over Magothy

The Work includes the following major items: (a) Removal of existing superstructure, including existing girders, in three stages in order to accommodate MOT. (b) Removal of existing bearings and bearing pedestals at all piers and abutments. (c) Removal of all four existing wing walls. (d) Widening of both abutments and both piers to the north and south. There will be new steel pipe piles driven at both abutments and both piers to support the widening. (e) Construction of four new wing walls. (f) Construction of a steel beam superstructure with a reinforced concrete deck, sidewalk, parapets, and chainlink fences. New bearing pads and bearings will be placed to accommodate new location of beams. (g) Removal of existing 16 inch water line and placement of new 16 inch water line.
