H&L Landfill Leachate System Demolition

OWNER AND WORK:  The City of Danville, Illinois will receive Lump Sum price sealed bids from contractors for the following project:

H&L LANDFILL LEACHATE SYSTEM DEMOLITION

Project Description: The project consists of supplying the labor, equipment, and material necessary to demolish, removals and/or abandon in place, providing compacted structural fill material below grade all portions of the H&L Landfill Leachate System.  The H&L Landfill Lechate System consists of a Pretreatment Station surrounded by a chain link fence that consists of a main pump station wet well, a main pump building constructed of concrete masonry units, an air release station, a 50-foot diameter clarifier constructed of reinforced concrete walls and base with a fiberglass dome cover.  In addition, within the landfill area there are 2 pump station wet wells, valve vaults, forcemain piping, manholes, and gravity sewer piping.

TIME AND PLACE OF BID OPENING:  Sealed bids will be received until the closing time of 10:00 A.M. prevailing local time on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2025 in the office of the City Clerk, Robert E. Jones Municipal Building, 17 West Main Street, Danville Illinois. Bids received after the closing time shall not be accepted and shall be returned unopened.  Bids submitted via the U.S. Postal Service or private courier shall be identified on the outside of the envelope with the phrase: “BID ENCLOSED for the H&L LANDFILL LEACHATE SYSTEM DEMOLITION”, and should be to: City Clerk, Robert E. Jones Municipal Building, 17 West Main Street, Danville, Illinois 61832.  The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud thereafter.
