1. Procoat/Undercoating:Thespecificationsreferencefullrustproofingwitha10-yearguaranteeorelectric
rustcontrolwithalifetimeguarantee.Willaspray-onundercoating/rustproofingproduct(suchasProcoat
orequivalent)satisfythisrequirement?Ifso,shouldthecostbeincludedintheunitbidprice?
Response: Yes, provided it is comparable and meets the required warranty provisions. Cost shall be
includedintheunitprice.
2. Decals / Vehicle Markings: The specifications state that vehicle markings shall be applied upon delivery
andshallincludetheNameofDepartment/Agency(letteringnolessthan2inches).Pleaseclarify:(a)Will
the cost of decals/vehicle markings be included in the unit bid price, or will it be handled separately by
the agency? (b) Will the bidder be responsible for sourcing and applying the decals, or will the agency
providetheexistinglogo/designfilestokeepthefleetuniform,asreferencedinthespecifications?
Response:(a)Yes.Thecostofdecals/vehiclemarkingswillbeincludedintheunitprice;(b)Thebidder
willberesponsibleforsourcingandapplyingthedecals.Theusingagencywillprovidethedesign/logo.
3. Spare Tire: The specifications reference manufacturer-standard size tires with a spare. Please clarify
whethera full-sizesparetire is required,orwhetheracompact/temporary spare(as providedstandard
bythemanufacturer)isacceptable.
