“RFP: 2025 City of Delano Grounds and Landscape Service Contract for Maintenance Districts”
The City of Delano reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
General Description of Work
The work involves grounds/landscape maintenance services in various areas in the City of Delano within its maintenance districts. The maintenance area covered under this contract is 2 (+/-) acres of grass, 5 (+/-) acres of planter area, and 2 (+/-) acres of evergreen wall cover spread over twelve (12) general locations throughout the City on both sides of SR 99.
Work shall include pruning, shaping and training of trees, shrubs and ground covers; fertilization; weed control; litter control; control of all plant diseases and pests; mowing; maintenance of irrigation systems; and all other duties required to keep the areas(s) in safe, attractive, usable condition and maintain plant and turf condition with horticultural acceptable growth and color and as otherwise spelled out herein. Grounds and Landscape Maintenance Inventory of Services is in Exhibit “A” of the contract document.
Engineer’s Estimate: $200k per year

The Contractor's license classification required for this project is as follows:
Landscaping Contractor, C-27
This classification is provided for information purposes only. The Engineer does not warrant that all classifications required for the project are listed.
PAYMENT OF PREVAILING WAGES IS REQUIRED UNDER THIS CONTRACT
It is the City's intent that "plans," as used in Public Contract Code Section 3300, are defined as the construction contract documents, which include both the drawings and the specifications.
The City Council of the City reserves the right to select the schedule(s) under which the bids are to be compared, and contract(s) awarded, to reject all bids, and to waive all irregularities in any bid. The project, if awarded, will be based upon all work contemplated in the Base Bid. After selection by the City, alternate bid items may be added to the Base Bid. The City reserves the right to perform any combination of work detailed in the base bid plus alternate bids based on available funds. Each bidder is required to sign the attached Non-Collusion Affidavit and submit it with his bid.
