GPS Asset Tracking Solution

The City of Pasadena's Department of Public Works provides fleet maintenance services to City vehicles and equipment. The Department is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive geolocational tracking and telematic hardware and software services for the City's fleet of vehicles and equipment. The selected vendor shall provide all hardware and software related to real-time tracking of the fleet. This should include equipment, storage of telematics data, training, and support. The City has a strong preference for a SaaS/cloud/hosted solution. The target start of the contract term is January 2027 with a term of five (5) years.

The City of Pasadena Fleet Division currently operates multiple software systems, some of which communicate and interface with one another. The Fleet Division utilizes Faster Asset Solutions Fleet Management, Gasboy Fuel Management Systems, and GPS Insight software programs on a routine basis. Currently, unique vehicular information such as odometer, engine hours, and idle hours data are transmitted from GPS Insight to Faster. Vendor will be expected to provide professional installation of GPS tracking equipment on approximately 750 vehicles and equipment. Vendor will be expected to provide professional deinstallation of GPS tracking equipment on approximately 500 vehicles and equipment. Vendor will be expected to provide technical support of the vehicle tracking devices throughout the life of the contract.
