GoodLife Terrace House Exterior Rehabilitation

The City of Lawrence (CITY) invites qualified contractors to submit bids for the full exterior rehabilitation of a residential intensive care facility located at 1311 E 21st Terrace, Lawrence, Kansas.

Scope of Work

• Remove and replace existing roofing with Owens Corning Duration (or equivalent) asphalt shingles and accessories

• Remove existing siding, soffits, and fascia; install new ½" plywood, house wrap, and James Hardie Board and Batten (or equivalent), primed

• Install new porch ceiling, window trim, band board, freeze board, fascia, and soffits

• Complete exterior painting

• Remove and replace gutters with new 6" gutters, mesh leaf guards, and 3"x4" downspouts

Bid Requirements
Bids must include all costs for materials, waste disposal, daily cleanup, project management, and required permits. Permit attainment is the responsibility of the contractor.

Funding and Compliance:
This project is funded through a HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and is subject to Federal requirements, including but not limited to:

• Prevailing wages under the Davis-Bacon Act

• Section 3 requirements of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (24 CFR Part 75)

Award:

Bid Analysis and award shall be made to bidder(s) whose bid(s) are deemed Overall Best Value and meets or exceeds the specifications. The award will be contingent upon an executed contract with Goodlife Innovations Incorporated.

The anticipated project duration is approximately 120 days from execution of the service agreement.
