Project Description: This Work consists of improvements to the existing force main, including temporary
erosion control measures, traffic control as necessary, installation of new air/vacuum
release valves at one location along the force main alignment within a new concrete vault,
connection to the existing force main by hot tap, installation of an odor control canister,
all piping, valves, and fittings associated with the air/vacuum valves and odor canister,
and the decommissioning of nine existing valves along the force main alignment with the
use of carbon fiber wrap and other items as shown in the Contract Drawings and
Specifications.
