Glenn Street Reconstruction Project

The proposed improvements consist of reconstructing approximately 2,700 square yards of six-inch (6”) Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement on a drainable subbase with sub-drains. Also included with this project is the removal and replacement of driveway approaches, storm sewer inlet removal, storm sewer inlet and sanitary manhole adjustments, sodding, erosion control, and other work related to reconstructing this street. This project will also include watermain, hydrant, water valve, and water service installations.
The bidder to whom the Contract is awarded shall commence work no later than the date to begin work set forth in a Notice to Proceed from the City or its authorized representative, to the Contractor. All work shall be done in strict compliance with the plans and specifications prepared by the Engineer of the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department of Bettendorf, Iowa.
All work on this contract shall commence on or after the date specified in the Notice to Proceed, but no later than July 6, 2026. All work on this contract shall be completed within 90 calendar days of commencement or by October 2, 2026, whichever comes first. The beginning and completion dates will be included in and made part of the contract between the successful bidder and the City. Liquidated damages in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars and no/100 ($500.00) per calendar day shall be charged for every day past the completion date.
