Geotechnical Assistance

Request for qualifications will be received by the Ascension Parish Government at the Ascension Parish Government Purchasing Office, 615 East Worthey St., Gonzales, LA 70737 until July 24, 2025 , at 3:00 p.m. (CDT) for the following:

STATEMENT OF WORK

Geotechnical Testing Services are needed on construction, design, and maintenance projects within the Ascension Parish Government (Parish). The Parish hereby requests qualifications from experienced and qualified firms (CONSULTANTS) to provide testing services on a variety of projects, including, but not limited to, road construction, recreation, and general infrastructure projects and Quality Assurance (QA) testing for development projects in Ascension Parish. Multiple firms may be selected.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The selected CONSULTANT(s) will perform geotechnical exploration and testing services for parish-wide projects. Geotechnical testing shall consist of, but not limited to, completion of deep and/or shallow soil borings, soil classification (USCS and AASHTO methods), boring logs, water table elevations, Atterberg limits, cement series, compaction and compressive strength. For Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) projects, all LADOTD standards for testing shall be followed, unless otherwise specified in the Task Order.

Materials QA testing shall consist of material testing to American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) and LADOTD standards and include complete reports and summaries of testing and test results. Onsite project inspections shall consist of LADOTD certified material testing technicians and/or Resident Project Representatives able to work overtime, weekends, and nights, as directed by Ascension Parish Government.

All questions regarding the RFQ shall be submitted to the Purchasing Department via email at purchasing@apgov.us by 3:00 p.m. local time (CDT) on July 8, 2025 . Responses will be coordinated with the Project Coordinator and posted on the www.centralauctionhouse.com by 3:00 p.m. local time (CDT) no later than July 15, 2025 .

Firms/individuals who are interested in providing services requested under this RFQ must submit six (6) copies of the information specified in this section.  The information shall be received in hard copy (printed) by: Ascension Parish Government, Purchasing Department, 615 East Worthy Street, Gonzales, LA 70737 on or before 3:00 p.m. CDT on the date specified in the Schedule of Events.  Electronic submittals are permitted via http://www.centralauctionhouse.com ; however (6) hard copies must still be submitted within 24 business hours of the proposal submission deadline (i.e. the Monday following the submission deadline since Parish buildings are closed on Fridays).

The Parish reserves the right to disqualify any bid, request for quotes, response to a request for qualifications, or request for proposals if it is determined that the submitting business entity is not in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State or is not authorized to do business in the State of Louisiana.

Ascension Parish Government reserves the right to reject all proposals for just cause.
