Security Consolidation Project

The City of Winder is undertaking a citywide physical security modernization to consolidate video surveillance and access control systems into a single, standardized Genetec Security Center Enterprise platform. The project will migrate approximately 218 existing IP cameras (261 views) and 108 access-controlled portals from legacy systems into a fully on-premises, redundant Genetec environment, with all video storage hosted locally at two geographically disparate sites. The solution will replace existing LenelS2 and Visual Insight platforms, standardize access control on Genetec Synergis with Mercury hardware, and support current and near-term growth while maintaining strict cybersecurity, segmentation, and retention requirements.

The selected Genetec-certified integrator will be responsible for system migration, phased implementation across municipal facilities, camera and portal assessments, commissioning, documentation, and staff training. The project emphasizes operational resilience, public-sector compliance, and long-term sustainability, including hands-on knowledge transfer to City technical staff and deployment of public view monitoring displays. Optional expansion sites—such as parks, trails, water infrastructure, and a mobile police monitoring asset—are identified for future implementation but are not included in the base scope. The City seeks an experienced municipal integrator capable of delivering a secure, well-documented deployment aligned with Genetec best practices and City standards.
