General Contractor – The Oquirrh Building Interior Remodel (Main Floor)

Project Description: The Housing Authority of Salt Lake City (HASLC) is soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced General Contractors to provide all labor, materials, supervision, and construction services necessary to complete HASLC’s new main office interior remodel. HASLC has taken over the main floor of the historic Oquirrh School in downtown Salt Lake City. This RFP is for the General Contractor for the main floor remodel only.
The project is being completed in coordination with Babcock Design’s interior design department. The remodel will include a new lobby, new offices, electrical work to accommodate the design changes, new workstations, carpet, paint, lobby construction, and related interior improvements.
Services will include, but are not limited to:
• Post-award preparations, permitting, and coordination
• Limited pre-construction services, including value engineering and cost review
• Demolition of existing materials and finishes
• Hauling, disposal, recycling, and documentation
• New interior construction for the main lobby, offices, and finishes
• Painting, flooring, and related interior finish work
• Accessibility and code compliance
• Required inspections, testing, and punch-list completion
• Competitive subcontractor procurement where practicable
