Catawba County has received a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Scattered Site Housing Project to rehabilitate homes. The houses to be rehabilitated are located on 24th Street SW, Hickory, North Carolina (has lead-based paint abatement items) and Spring Valley Drive, Newton, North Carolina. Jobs consist of new vinyl windows; floor support system; roof shingle removal and replacement; guttering; attic insulation; electrical work; plumbing work; floor covering installation; interior painting; kitchen appliance replacements as well as other carpentry work. |
