The City of San Marcos issoliciting sealed bids to be received in the Office of the Purchasing Manager, Building 3, 630 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, TX 78666, as outlined below:

Solicitation Number: IFB2025-089 Gateway Monument Signs alongIH-35

Scope of Project: Includes butis not limited to the construction of two (2) Gateway Monuments within theTexas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) right of way located approximately1100’ north of Yarrington Road and IH-35 Southbound Frontage Road Overpass and approximately 4100’ south of Van Horne Trace and IH-35 Northbound Frontage Road Intersection. The estimated annual construction cost for this project is $377,905.

Bidders must submit acashier’s check, certified check, or acceptable bidder’s bond with their bid inthe amount of five percent (5%) of the bid submitted.

A non-mandatory pre-bid video conference will be held on March 18, at 2:00 P.M., Local Time. Requests for access tovideo conference must be submitted to RShelton@sanmarcostx.gov at least 30 minutes prior to the pre-bid videoconference.

Bids must be received in the Office of the Purchasing Manager, Building 3, 630 E. Hopkins St.,San Marcos, TX 78666, no later than April 10, 2025, at 2:00 P.M., Local Time, and will be conducted via videoconferencing. Teams meeting link is included in solicitation.

Award is scheduled for the June 3, 2025, City Council meeting at 6:00 p.m. or any subsequent time unless otherwise rescheduled.
