NOTICE TO ARCHITECTS
The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville is soliciting responses from interested firms to provide architectural and related engineering services for the following project:
Gateway Center Farm and Ranch Management Project (FARM) – The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB) is seeking architectural and related engineering services for the renovation of a 100,000 square foot industrial building constructed in the 1960s. The focus will be on the renovation of the approximately 30,000 square foot front/east section. The project includes updating utilities; constructing six offices, restrooms, two multi-use rooms/classrooms, and a computer lab; adding storage, maintenance, custodial, and common spaces as required; and developing a master plan for the entire 55-acre property, which involves constructing various structures for an educational working farm. Project budget is approximately $2.5 million. This is a grant funded project on a strict timeline. General contractor sealed bids must be able to be opened by April 25, 2025.
Written responses (7 copies) will be considered if received by 2:00 PM on December 20, 2024. Interviews with finalists will be held via videoconferencing on January 2, 2025. All respondents will be notified of the results by mail.
Written responses shall include:
1. Current office size, personnel descriptions, and workload.
2. Projects currently under contract with State Agencies or Educational Facilities.
3. Similar project experience, including project experience with LEED certification.
4. Submit proof of current professional liability insurance coverage.
Architects/Engineers shall conform to the requirements of the Arkansas licensing
Laws and regulations for Architects/Engineers ($1,000,000 minimum of Comprehensive
General Liability insurance coverage required)
5. All firms shall be licensed by the State of Arkansas.
6. Out of State firms should joint venture, align or associate with an in-state licensed firm.
Professional services may include but not limited to: Program Review, Cost Estimating, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding, Construction Administration, Inspection and Project Close Out
