GALESBURG/KNOX COUNTY DISPATCH CENTER RENOVATIONS

The City of Galesburg on behalf of Knox County Emergency Telephone Systems Board (ETSB) will receive single prime sealed bids for the Galesburg/Knox County Dispatch Center Renovations until 11:00 am local time on November 20, 2024 in the Erickson Conference Room located in Galesburg City Hall, 55 West Tompkins Street, Galesburg, Illinois 61401, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

This project includes: Interior renovations of an existing detention area into a 911 dispatch call center including, but not limited to, demolition of existing conditions, new interior partitions, interior finishes, openings, and specialties, and associates mechanical and electrical work.

Bid documents are available at the office of the Purchasing Agent, 55 W. Tompkins St., Galesburg, IL 61401 or on the city website at https://www.ci.galesburg.il.us/government/finance/city_purchasing/bids.php

Prospective bidder may choose to print hard copies of the Bidding Documents from their preferred reprographics company at their own expense.
A voluntary pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Galesburg/ Knox County Public Safety Building Main Entrance, 150 S Broad Street, Galesburg, Illinois 61401. Note that this will be the only time the building will be made available for contractor access prior to the bid opening.
Make proposals on the bid forms supplied in the Project Manual. No oral, telegraphic or telephonic proposals or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid, a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond payable to Knox County ETSB and the City of Galesburg in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Performance Bond.

The successful bidder is required to pay the general prevailing wage for work as ascertained by the Illinois Department of Labor, and shall submit certified payroll records, in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and shall comply with all applicable Illinois statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity laws.

Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening bids, without the consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding.

The Owner requires Substantial Completion of the project on or before August 29, 2025.
