THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION COMPETITIVE NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION.

This pre-solicitation notice serves as a synopsis and is posted in accordance with FAR subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. This is not a solicitation. Contractors shall not submit a quote until, and/or if, the solicitation is posted to the Governmentwide Point-of-Entry via www.SAM.gov. This announcement shall NOT be construed as a commitment by Brookhaven Science Associates LLC (BSA) to award a Contract. Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) reserves the right to use any and all information submitted by, or obtained from, an interested party in any manner BNL determines is appropriate, including, but not limited to, the creation of a competitive solicitation.

Background:

BNL is a Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratory multidisciplinary research facility, located on Long Island, New York.

BNL intends to compete, full and open, for GaAs Sensors to be utilized within the United States.

BNL expects to issue one (1) award.

The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334413, “Semiconductor and Related Device Manufacturing”, and the applicable PSC 5961, “Semiconductor Devises and Associated Hardware”. Interested parties must be registered under the NAICS code in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting their quotes.

BNL intends to issue solicitation No. 454244 in support of this requirement. The anticipated award type is a Firm Fixed Price Contract. BNL anticipates the award date to be on or around December 20th, 2024.

Delivery Date:

BNL is considering a three (3) month fabrication turnaround after receipt of signed award.
