G15-503743 /Alabama Highway Map Preparation- FY2025

The preparation and design of the official 2025-2026 Alabama Highway Map, which will require a complete update of all pertinent data and information, including tourist attractions. The modification of the existing design, graphic, and map files used to produce the 2025-2026 Alabama Highway Map can readily update the road networks, city insets, various attractions/points of interest locations and indexes, charts, and other information not supplied by Tourism and Travel, to the quality and specifications required for publication.

MAP SIDE

1.      Update all construction, additions, and relocations of road networks

2.      Update urban boundaries for metropolitan areas

3.      Update attractions, museums, and points of interest to include renumbering, relocating,
and adding symbols

4.      Update the cities list index and base map, as necessary

5.      Update place symbols in area location for each of the two-year colleges and add index and
key for name identification, as necessary

6.      Update place symbols and names in area location for each of the recreational areas, as
necessary

7.      Update the city type and city symbols in Alabama and surrounding states based on the
results from the 2020 U.S. Census

8.      Add new panels for the Governor and cover photo-which will be supplied in digital format by
Alabama Tourism and Travel.
BACK SIDE

I.   Update city inset maps-changes supplied by AL D.O.T.

2.  Update mileage chart, State Parks chart, Wildlife Management chart, and National Forest and
Recreational Areas chart-changes supplied by AL D.O.T.

3.  Reposition city insets and incorporate with photos and related images and data supplied by
Alabama Tourism and Travel in digital form
