Background
The project consists of the removal and replacement of the ultraviolet (UV) disinfection systems at three of the Cobb County Water System’s water reclamation facilities (WRF) – the Noonday Creek WRF (20 MGD), the Northwest Cobb WRF (12 MGD), and the R.L. Sutton WRF (50 MGD). In addition, the project consists of the following major elements: replacement of gates and valves and their associated actuators; electrical, instrumentation, and HVAC upgrades; and the addition of a pre-engineered metal building to enclose the UV units at the R.L. Sutton WRF.
