Project Overview: Wetland Embankment Repairs & Water Control Structure Replacements
The ODNR, Division of Wildlife is seeking contractors to remove vegetation, repair wetland
embankments, and replace water control structures on two (2) wetlands at Darke Wildlife Area
located in Greenville, Darke County, Ohio. Wetland #s 273 and 274. Figures 1 and 2. Must bid
on each wetland site individually and include a combined total. Individual site bids are for budget
estimation purposes and award may not include all sites. All contractors are required to visit the
site per the directions under the Site Visit & Point of Contact section. Work on this project needs
to be completed by June 30, 2026

A. Scope of Work
1) Embankments - Two (2) wetlands, Wetlands 273 & 274. (Please refer to Figures 1 & 2)
a. Prior to the execution of any work, the Contractor shall
i. Survey & Field verify all dimensions Including elevations and quantities
1. Confirm location of the existing water control structures in the dike
2. Confirm Inlet elevation of existing pipe
ii. Submittals (All products are to be new not used)
1. N-12 culvert pipe
2. Agri-drain and components (Please refer to Figure 3)
3. Stainless Steel Rat Guards (Please refer to Figure 4)
4. Standard Yellow Bar Guard (Please refer to Figure 5)
5. Seed
6. Offsite soil material (clay)
iii. Compaction
1. Unless otherwise recommended by manufacturer’s instructions, (i.e. Agri Drain;
Please refer to Figure 6), all repaired areas are to be compacted in max. of 6” lifts with
equipment such as a sheepsfoot roller.
