Overview

Summary

The City of Pasadena, California is soliciting bids for our FY27 CDBG Street Resurfacing and ADA Improvement Project . This project consists of resurfacing Fair Oaks Avenue from Washington Blvd to Mountain Street and Los Robles Avenue from Washington Blvd to Orange Grove Blvd. Additionally, the streets being resurfaced may receive the following improvements: removal and reconstruction of damaged concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk, curb ramps, driveway aprons, and cross gutters; adjustment of existing utility manholes; replacement of traffic signal loop detectors; installation of raised pavement markers, and miscellaneous appurtenant work.

This project is partially funded with federal funds from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.

Background

The City of Pasadena maintains an extensive roadway network consisting of approximately 360 centerline miles. Preserving this infrastructure is essential to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable transportation for residents, businesses, and visitors. Pavement maintenance activities are designed to extend the life of existing streets, improve ride quality, and reduce long-term repair costs. These efforts include routine inspections, preventive treatments, and rehabilitation strategies that address surface deterioration and structural integrity, ensuring the roadway system remains in optimal condition.
