The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS), Network Contracting Office 8 intends to negotiate a sole-source contract under the authority of FAR part 13.106-1(b). The identified vendor is Hill-Rom Services, which it is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), now under Baxter.
The proposed contract is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. NCO-8 will not provide any reimbursement for any costs associated or connected with providing any capabilities information.
Any information submitted in response to this notice of intent is strictly voluntary. This will be the only notice the Government's intent to solicit, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
