FY27 Acquisition of Real Property via Lease for Barnstable Public School Transportation Department Bus Fleet Parking

Project Description: The Procurement Office of the Town of Barnstable, on behalf of the Barnstable Public School Transportation Department, is soliciting responses from interested parties for the acquisition, by lease , of property to be used for contracted school bus parking for the Barnstable School Department Busing Program. The location of the lease property must be located in the Town of Barnstable, Massachusetts as defined in the Request for Proposal documents and must be at least 3 acres in size. It is anticipated that the property will accommodate 55 full-sized school buses, at a minimum. Larger parcels will be considered, and the Town of Barnstable, Barnstable Public School Department reserves the right to consider several parcels to make up the desired parking accommodation. Office space on the property is desirable but not required. Electricity and water to the property is desirable but not required. The Town requires a five (5) year base lease with one three (3) year option and then a final two (2) year optional extension at the sole discretion of the Barnstable Public Schools, School Committee and Town Council.
This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B, Chapter 16 and all lease documents must be awarded strictly in accordance with the requirements of the Request for Proposal regarding Real Property Transactions. If it becomes necessary to revise any part of this RFP or otherwise provide additional information, an addendum will be issued to all prospective proposers who received copies of the original request.
The Town of Barnstable reserves the right to reject any or all proposals when it deems it to be in the best interest of the Town.
