) during normal working hours from Wednesday, April 15, 2026 until the expiration of the time for the filing of bids.
Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with the requirements of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, §39M and Chapter 149, as applicable. This project is subject to prevailing wage rates as determined by the Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards under M.G.L. c.149, §§26–27D.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the date designated above for the opening of bids. The Contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Bids must be accompanied by a certified, treasurer’s or cashier’s check from a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Town of Acton, cash or bid bond from a surety company. The amount of the bid deposit shall be five percent (5%) of the value of the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one-half (50%) of the value of the bid with a surety company satisfactory to the Town of Acton.
The Town of Acton reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any minor informalities, as deemed in the Town’s best interest.
